Crawl spaces can become cluttered with a variety of debris, including dirt and leaves. How much work it takes to remove leaves depends on how much space there is to move around in, but it is a simple process.
If you have enough space, use a broom to sweep the leaves into piles. If you do not have enough space to use a broom, you will need to use a hand broom instead.
Go back to each pile with a large plastic bag. Position the bottom of the bag flat on the ground, and either hold it open or have someone help you hold it open.
Sweep the leaves into the bag. If there are a lot of leaves and other debris, you may need to use several bags, or empty one bag several times.
Tips & Warnings
If you have a dry shop vac, and enough room, you use that instead of a broom.
It is a good idea to clean your crawl space of leaves and other debris before doing any other work in it.
You should not use a regular vacuum to clean a crawl space, as nails or other debris may damage it.
